Never understood how that is looked at by anyone as being "over" Jordan.

I don't have to say so, it's pretty clear from the video.

It's also pretty clear that Horace Grant had more to do with Jordan not getting there than anything else. Also Jordan is the 3rd defender on that play, coming from the weak side. So see what you want. I see a nice dunk from Starks over Grant that Jordan just happens to get close enough to be in frame.

Mason and Chiles are essentially the same player through their first 3 seasons. I don't think having them both would help. Plus, Mason is going to want to play substantial minutes, and I just don't see those available at the 2 spot at U.T. right now.

Mason is way better than Chiles with way better stats each year. Mason has scored at least 15 a game each year. Chiles 10, 10 then 16. You are right about the crowd at the 2 though. If we didn't have punter then maybe we could have gotten in on him.

Let me rephrase, Mason and Chiles have the same game. Mason is a little more efficient at it, but they both put their heads down and drive to the basket.

Who's your back up point guard and who's comes in for McKnight if he's in foul trouble, etc.? These things are going to be fun to see develop with this team. This is one of those teams where you'd love to have one of those "all access" cameras around to track the development.

Reese starting with Moore as 6th man:thumbsup:

You could be right , but I would be very surprised if that happened . I think Moore is the type of player that CDT loves , Reese , not so much

Would be hard to ask Moore to play a whole season guarding the 4. He has great hops and quickness, but it would be a lot to ask him to be a primary defender for the 4. He is 6ft 4in, that is just a lot to ask.
Plus Reese at least showed promised at the end of the year with his rebounding. We will need him to really step up.

Most of that is true but Tyndall is going to play a match up zone most of the time. So if Moore starts instead of Reese,Tyndall could put Hubbs and Richardson on the back line of the zone and Moore out front with Chiles.

I just think we will need Reese's rebounding. Like I said he will need to step up. If Moore starts we will be fine, i just worry about getting worn out on the boards. Could be the reversal of last year.

Yup I loved watching those Knicks get curb stomped by Jordan. Every year. It was awesome. They went and got players specifically to stop mj and they always got beat every single year by mj. When he played baseball then the rockets beat em. Bahahaha. Knicks suck

Agree. Defensive system will allow for a little more freedom in lineups. It's not as rigid as saying Moore has to definitively guard opposing PFs. The kwy will be rebounding out of that defense, but Moore is an excellent rebounder (and shot blocker) for his size.

That was a great dunk by Starks no doubt. I don't think Michael and the Jordanairs expected him to be that aggressive and just got s surprised by it. Great play by Stakes to run the battle. Unfortunately (for NY), MJ dominated the war and added to his legend against NYN.

Armani Moore is finally free. I would love to see him starting. But at this point IMO there are only 2 for sure starters Hubbs and Richardson with McKnight and Chiles looking likely too. But the 5th spot is up for grabs. I'm excited to see who steps up to take some minutes.

Why would Hubbs be guaranteed a spot over Moore?

Only legit reason would be positional difference. Hubbs can play SG, while I have my doubts about Armani's ability to be most effective there on the offensive end. He seems more like a gadget player at the 3/4 spot.

If I'm coaching, there's no way I sit a 5* instate kid from West Tennessee during his sophomore year with this roster. No way.

That said, Armani Moore needs to see more minutes than in years past. I love me some Armani Moore.

It wasn't really a knock on Hubbs as it was praise for Moore, Tyndall has said Moore fits his system better than any other player on the roster...that would just make me think if we're talking about likely starters his name would be right up there.

Hubbs is also coming off a pretty serious surgery and still isn't 100%
