There is no concrete answer to that pg-vs-pass argument. Depends entirely on your roster. Tony Harris was unpressable, for example.
I can't speculate on any of the games at this point, Wins or losses, nor would I. I find it funny that you seem to keep raising the bar from 15 wins, .500, to 20 wins.
Keepin' it short....
I don't recall EVER saying that 15 wins or .500 would be acceptable, so you're either mistaking me for someone else or misunderstood something I have said.
IMO there's no excuse why with Tennessee's resources, and retuning talent that he should win less than 18 games. And if there's some mass plan being executed to perfection, and this new style is gonna be Bruce Pearlesque it should be much higher than 18.
You're going to see the same struggles at U.T, but with less talent.
In your opinion.
I could see different struggles but not the same struggles. More accomplished with a lot more "Less talented players" (your words which is opinion) being utilized on the court. 7 players used per game vs 10-11 on the court.
Different Coach, Different Systems, Different Techniques, Different Philosophy, Different Experience levels, Different skill sets, Different Environment and you get the picture.
However, you state same struggles...NO.
Less talent, who knows or who cares if CDT systems works and the Team plays like a Team.
Keepin' it short....

My 2 biggest concerns, what happens when we are pressed? Do we have anyone that can break the press and handle the ball over under pressure without turning it over?
Rebounding. Hopefully McKnight keeps his nose clean, stays out of foul trouble, and maybe adds 10-15 pounds by the start of the season. Outside of him Reese would be the next guy in line who's most physically ready to play the 5, that scares me a bit.
Im not worried about rebounding at all....I think CDT system is not built in the traditional big guy out muscling another big guy for the ball. We will be tall and long 1-5 on the court and our speed and athleticism will be used to get rebounds in our match up zone.
As for the press, I dont think we will have any problems with it bc we will be going against it every single day in practice. I am worried about the PG controlling tempo and getting us in correct spots on offense though.
...15 wins should be the break even point for this team. Under 15 wins and there should be some disappointment, over 15 wins and people should be happy. I see no way that this team gets to 20 unless the S.E.C. is brutally bad again next year.
Sounds about like what we were expecting if CCM had returned. Only difference is it would've been his 4th year with his players whereas CDT is having to replace the majority of the roster.
But yes, I do agree we'll likely be in the mid-teen range with wins next year. While he's done a good job finding players to come in it'll be hard for them to all gel into a team immediately. What I'm interested in going forward is if he can recruit kid from H.S. at a high level and build a program the proper way.
Less talented would be my opinion and everyone who evaluates basketball talent, but maybe everyone is wrong.
Talent, potential, skill set are all parts of the equation, but you can't disregard team chemistry, system, Coaching and other factors in this evaluation. Team Dynamics always take hold.
CDT is a virtual unknown at this level, he has been successful at lower levels of play. Let's see what he can do now that he has been given the resources to do it.
The team/season ahead had a bunch of question marks to begin with anyway. It still does, but the the major players changed dramatically. So much, there is little chance of telling how this will go down.
We will see...
I'm guessing we will struggle some against a press from Florida
