I took Darius' comment to mean his overall college experience was great.

The only perspective any of us have is statistical. Not sure why bringing up stats is "bashing", unless its in reference to Cuonzo for having both his pgs gradually get worse.

I will apologize if a came across as a jerk earlier. Been a long few days. Been in the ER for 24 hrs and just got out of surgery earlier. Plus I haven't eaten since Sunday. Excuses I know, but it is what it is.

All is ok. Appendix issue, then damn anesthesia suctioned my uvula when removing trach tubing. I didn't know and almost choked on it when I woke up and they didn't know they did it.. It's like I have a midgets finger in the back of my throat

Don't be disingenuous. You're not an idiot, and you know I'm talking about the fact that you belittled his time at UT with every part of your comment minus 2 words.

You went out of your way to say that he was underwhelming when no other posters ever said anything about his quality of play. So you were either saying "No Darius, you did not have an amazing freshman year" in response to his tweet, or you just wanted say what you did for the hell of it.

Between the two of us, one of us is discrediting Thompson's contributions and name calling, and I'm the cry baby? Really?

I would not have taken back once he asked for his release. I have never nor will I ever rehire a former employee--once you are gone.....you are gone in my book.

-DT's time at UT was hurt by his coach, not him. That's not belittling him, and I've said that many times.
-He was underwhelming, mainly due to his coach, and got worse as the season went. And I'm not the only poster to discuss that fact.
-For the nth time, I thought DT could be nasty on top of a zone, his length in the press, and with picks sent his way so he could make plays. Problem was going to be shooting because CDT's guards will pull up when picks sent to them.

Fact is his freshman season was underwhelming, and in my opinion and many others, he was led the wrong direction, but I hope it all works out for him and will be here when you and a couple others throw out I told you so's in a couple of years. DT is a good kid and his current faults/situation is not on him, it's on 2 others.

I will never understand why people think Thompson was anything but a below average PG. He was slow and his shot was godawful. He actually got worse as the season progressed. I'm so damn glad he is gone.

I thought Darius was an excellent freshman. I do hate to see him go. I was not sad to see Cuonzo go. I look forward to seeing what CDT will do.

Who's crying? You're the one that has a problem with Thompson saying he had an amazing freshmen year, in which he was obviously referring to his entire college experience, just because you're being a baby because of your gossip beef with his dad.

Seriously, you're acting like a lunatic. I would love to see you say these things to Darius's face.

No offense but I don't think he's been too critical of DT. His criticism has been more directed at Cuonzo for his lack of development and holding him back. He said multiple times he feels DT could be huge in CDT's system. He has been critical of his dad saying he's been led in the wrong direction. I personally hope DT does well but I think he's made a mistake. I also think he's let outside people influence him by allowing others issues effect his decision to leave.

Ask yourself why would he leave? Did he not feel appreciated because CDT didn't beg him to stay? Did he not feel he could excel in CDT's system? Or did prejudices from prior experiences creep in? Did he want to punish UT because of his perception that Cuonzo was treated poorly? Nobody knows the answer but I suspect there was a rift somewhere between someone close to him and CDT but that's speculation on my part.

I have no problem with DT and have said it too many times that he could've been nasty with good coaching. Your boy Martin cost him. And who has a fantastic year only to walk away from it and sit out a year. You can't handle what actually went on, so you insist he had a blast, when his dad himself was quoted saying DT DIDNT enjoy the season and was pissed Martin left. Almost as upset as you.
As far as saying things to people's face, you wouldn't say jack **** to my face so let's not go down that road.
