I knew that you could hook your 360 up to your Media Center computer, but I was just wondering what would happen if I hooked up my 500GB external HD up to it. Well, I must say that I am EXTREMELY happy because it took my HD, indexed it, and let me access my mp3 folders without losing their ordering. I didn't know you could do that. I want a 250 GB just for my 360 now for Christmas so I can have a dedicated HD just for it. The sound quality is awesome as well. Just another reason I LOVE MY 360.

I have mine on the network so I don't have a need for this. But, for those that aren't networked or take their system on the road, it's good knowledge to know.

Just remember, it won't play videos off a hard drive directly connected. I'm not sure why, but just something to note.

Also, I've been doing the networked thing with my original xbox for almost 3 years. :) :p

Original xbox with XMC is a great little device. Streaming TV from my Replay box was always nice.

I think it has more to do with decoders. I am going to get my uncle an original Xbox and hook him up with the HD mod and put a 200GB in there so he quits getting all my CD-R's. :)
