Really? Tweeting about his mother on Mother's Day? When he could be selecting the Tennessee Volunteers! Kid needs to get his priorities in order imo. :loco:

As I mentioned before, I have seen Willie play several times, probably 12-15, over the past two seasons. I see him as a 3 in the SEC, rather than a 4, but that can also depend on match-ups. He played 4 and 5 in high school, but that was out of necessity. If he ends up at UT, he will be a solid player for us, I really believe. A lot of how it works out is how he develops.

It's why I think a guy like McKnight is important. IMO throwing Owens and Carmichael out there simply out of necessity won't be the best thing for their development/

Willie was also named the school's athlete of the year by the local community newspaper at the awards ceremony which isn't necessarily a surprise but just shows he is considered more than just a fine basketball player. The newspaper says the award is also based on character and academics.

I'm happy for Carmichael. I'm pretty sure I remember he really wanted to come here as a football recruit out of high school.
