I see on Townhall.com front page that it's been confirmed that "Many of ObamaCare's 8 Million Enrollments" are Duplicates. Wow, I wonder how that happened?
[The Obama administration] just manufactured the largest-sounding number possible and heralded it as exciting proof that the "law is working" and the "debate is over." Much of the media blindly repeated the number, some going so far as to pant excitedly about an Obamacare "winning streak."
Many people were told to sign up again at first because they were having so much trouble w/the website crashing & so forth. If they did resign up two or three times then a lot of these numbers are completely wrong on how many people (as one) actually did. So now we're back to square one about how many have signed up for the ACA.
Politics: Californians with Obamacare are driving to Mexico for cheaper, better healthcare | Best of Cain
Californians unhappy with their forced Obamacare related healthcare packages are finding a cheaper and more efficient way to see a doctor high tail it to Mexico.
The growing trend among Californians finds citizens driving into Mexican towns like Tijuana, and seeing a doctor for as little as $15 out of pocket. While the Obama administration remains puzzled why so few Latinos are signing up for health insurance, the answer can be found just a few short miles away from the border.
The administration will continue to have a tough task going forward, in an attempt to entice Latinos with green cards back into the United States for their medical visits. Those who can travel back and forth over the border have little reason to enroll in an expensive healthcare system, racked with long waits and errors.
This has been a trend for well over 15 years. If you have ever driven into TJ, you know this. Almost every billboard (and there are lots of them) advertise medical/dental facilities. For example, I took my best friend to TJ every day for a month for cancer treatments in 2008. He flew here from Knoxville to do this.
Also, people have been going south of the border for prescription meds since, at least, the mid 90s.
I have friends in east TN that fly their family of 5 to Costa Rica every year for a "medical vacation". They do all the family's physicals, her lady parts' inspections, and any pending medical or dental procedures. Then they relax at a resort on the beach for a few days, before flying home. The savings in medical/dental costs pays for the entire vacation. They have been doing this since about 2001-2002.
This certainly ain't nothing new.
Oh, and again, I didn't vote for Obama.............
I'm sure this has been a common practice in the past, but it seems to be picking up steam
