I've not said everything he says is wrong, just like every other outlet in Knoxville he has hits and misses. He also said Dre Mathieu was visiting UT last year and that never happened.

A walkon who is a friend of my family told me (firsthand) that Robert Hubbs is going to stay, take it for what it's worth...

He is the first to admit he will take chances with sources and miss on a bunch but he has been out in front of a lot of stuff too.

Yesterday basilio reported that Hubbs family was coming to Knoxville and meeting with Tyndall. They were coming to get their things, and their son tomorrow and he was leaving unless something changed.

Yesterday VQ reported that Tyndall and his entire staff were going to meet with Hubbs family tomorrow (today) in a Dyersburg.

Today Basilio is reporting Tyndall's whole staff went to Dyersburg last night.

To the best of my knowledge Hubbs was in Knoxville yesterday, so unless he just wanted to meet with the parents traveling there yesterday didn't make a whole lot of sense as supposedly it's younger Hubbs who's having difficulties not his parents.

Interesting I heard complete opposite. Rob is a Vol fans that wants his kid to stay at UT, younger Hubbs is having difficulties with his 2 closest friends already leaving.

Makes sense to me. I don't think Hubbs would have tweeted whatever he did that day if he wasn't sure. I think he said something to the effect that he's all Vol when people were wondering if anyone would transfer.

Idk. The tweet I was just talking about was well before Thompson and Davis announced, so could also be true.

The info I posted could very well be wrong, so don't mark it in stone, but the kid who told me this is pretty honest and is friends with Robert.

It's in his best interest to stay. He could do more damage to himself by transferring and making it 2 seasons without NBA scouts seeing you play.

Word in Memphis circles is that Hubbs will ask for his release by the end of the week. Take it with a grain of salt, because it's far from coming from an official source.

Well we got word from a poster that is friends with a walkon that said Hubbs is staying so we'll go with that lol :)

If you here info of anyone that claims they know what he is going to do it is nothing more than a guess. They are not sure what they are going to do yet.
Robert loves UT, Robert LOVED Cuonzo, one is still here for him the other left like a thief in the night.

Everyday he doesn't ask for a release is a good day. He is thinking this out and hopefully he sees how huge he could be in this program.

I don't know any big time competitor that is willing to sit out 1 season let alone 2. I could be different mindset but there's no way im sitting the bench again after missing the yr before

It is concerning that he and his family had planned to drive to Knoxville to meet with CDT.

As we know Donnie is meeting the Hubbs family in Newbern, this evening. More news will follow later this evening.

I don't think that was ever the plan, that was the plan according to basilio who has changed his story now.

VQ has maintained that the plan was for the staff to go to Newbern, which IMO is indeed a better setting than family coming to Knoxville.
