I remember in a certain thread, you told me that you wouldn't believe me (or others) unless you heard it from a recruiting site.

I had connections to the family and said the kid was all vol and being recruited as a QB but you still insisted, that the info wasn't valid unless you heard if from a recruiting website.

Ohhhhhhhh the irony.

I think Deberry and Settle are the combo deal, not Deberry and Gibson.

Either way, it doesn't hurt that we are the only team in the top 2-3 for all 3.

Although I can see the irony, this is a slightly different situation.

A kid saying what school is plans to attend is one thing. That is 100% his choice.

A kid saying he will be playing QB is college, well these are plenty of variables to that. Like I said in that thread, I did not doubt that your son was told that. What I was doubting was that Butch and co were not considering him at any position other than QB.

I will have to go back and read the thread. I only remember talking to a guy whose son was told by Jennings that he was going to play QB in high school.

And that is fine. Keep finding it ironic.

He wants to visit South Carolina on May 17 and could visit Arizona State or Miami in June or July.

DeBerry said his best relationships are with coach Haggans at UVA, coach Montgomery at Oklahoma, coach Venables at Clemson and Urban Meyer."

I believe LV is talking about the coaches that he listed, who he has the best relationship with. No mention of a UT coach.

Rivals tends to withhold info like that on "list cut" tweets to generate more clicks (see: Torrancd Gibson)

Exactly.

I'd say UT is a distant 3rd at best right now for the kid. A couple months ago I felt a lot better about our chances of getting him in Orange.
