Any updates from BOC, Atlanta?

Since no one yet seems to have been in Atlanta, let me ask a question regarding recruiting? Does anyone know if recruits ever have the time to be taken to the Great Smoky Mountains NP? That may seem like a silly question, but I would think the mountains would be a good selling point to recruits living in the big city or the "flatlands".

Doubt it. I doubt most of them care. Obviously if it matters I'm sure coaches would take them.

Edit: coaches aren't allowed to take them. Nvm.

I doubt many 17-18 yr old recruits care about the smokey mtn national park honestly.

Think I read that they aren't allowed to take recruits off campus. Also read that CBJ got the legislature to declare part of the river to be UT campus so they can take recruits out on boats as they did recently. Can anyone confirm this?

Recruits are allowed to visit coaches homes on official visits, and those are typically off campus I would think.

Both statements are true

I can assure you 99% of basketball recruits worthy of a scholarship from Tennessee don't give a rats a$$ about the Smoky Mountains.

By the way, if any of you go to any of the BOC stops, be sure to let VolNation know what the latest is from Coach T! I know UTSports posts the interviews but sometimes it takes a while.

A little? You're being kind.

Talk about out of touch, I think you were "fishing" with this one. :hi:

Can likely thank shoulder surgery if he is back

Players aren't allowed to leave, lmao what a joke, dudes gotta be pushing 13 or 100.
24 and not a clue! "Perhaps the NCAA's most pressing problem with the transfer rules is that coaches and schools have complete control over what a player can and cannot do, supporting the case that athletes are employees." SBNation

How can you be older than Betty White and have the reading compression of a kindergartner?

OK, let's compare. I graduated from ETSU with a degree in General Science, you know the biology, chemistry, physics stuff. I retired from Eastman Chemical Company when I was 62. I retired from the United States Army Reserve in 1996 with 25 years of service at the age of 48. I graduated 5th in a class of 120 at the 3rd U.S Army Drill Sergeants School at Fort Jackson, SC. I am 42 years older than you so life experience might be thrown in. You?

Nice opinion! Do you stay inside all the time? Ever been trout fishing? Love to trout fish!

I went trout fishing in the smoky mountains once. 15 minutes later I was leaving with a hefty fine from a park ranger. :bash: :banghead2:

Coach T is the man. He does it all right! Thanks for the media interview! When I went last year, there was a media interview before the luncheon and then each coach gave a update on the upcoming season followed by a q and a. Anybody have a take on that?
