You are missing what I am saying. What I meant was if you told me I can have Gentry (a 4 star ) or I can have Settle, Gibson and DeBerry, then I take the three over the one. None of them are proven yet. I love Gentry but he is far from a lock to make it at the college level.

IIRC the person who said they wanted Gentry was also including/assuming that we get McKenzie and Johnson

Just something mentioned earlier in the thread. However, Gibson did jokingly tweet something about he and DeBerry attending the same school.

Statistically speaking, he was. Bray's junior year was comparable to Manning's best season, statistically.

Bray just wasn't the mature leader he needed to be.

Bray was the best since Clausen, anyway. We had the 2nd best offense in the SEC, in 2012....just no defense whatsoever. A stellar defense would have made us SEC E contenders.

This. Even with the lacking mentality of a great QB, he put up numbers that would win with any coach not named Dooley.

he led one of the best offensive attacks in UT history - not his fault he was coached by dooley and that DD hired Sal

onside kicks were likely our best defense that year - hard to ask for the offense to do more than they did

EDIT....i mean comparing him to peyton is just not fair at all - peyton had an excellent HC, likely the best college OC/QB coach in the country, and an excellent DC along with loads of top level talent on D - Bray had none of those things and had to try to overcome the Dooley - which to date, noone has done

Bray's offense scored a ton of points to win games but it wasn't his fault that our defense couldn't keep anyone out of the endzone.

He was, but we didn't have coaches that helped him. Bray is the best QB we've had since Peyton. No other one would of kept the worst team in history in games.

Pretty much his entire offense is in the NFL or will be playing in the NFL. The coach yes, but the offense he had was STACKED.

He was a great QB, but Clausen and Tee were better. Period. Clausen was such an underrated QB. All he did was win and put up numbers.

Bray was more talented than Casey, but not a better QB. He should've been a better QB than Clausen but he wasn't.

And Tee brought home a Crystal Ball, so yeah he isn't ahead of him either.
