i love the top orange jersey. i doubt i will get any agreements but if we did an all black uniform, i would like to see black pants and jerseys with white numbers, white helmet with a black T, and the only thing orange:the cleats.

Oregon has over 300 something combos of uniforms they can wear. As someone said earlier, you can only wear your alternate jersey once. Thus they can wear all their combos once and still wear something different every game and then some. That is why we can only wear that 04 jersey once a year.

Yeah....we might as well bust out teal, or powder blue from before that.

If you want to have some fun, try to think of all the MLB teams from 1970-90 that had powder blue jerseys at some point.

Those powder blues are much better than the Padres' away unis, rightfully named the "just got pissed on" gold unis.

How much longer is Tennessee under contract with Adidas?
I was at the local sporting goods store the other day and the cashier said they were switching back to Nike next year

You could do it in green cammo with copperhed skin on both shoulders and a BB colored helmet with an irridescent power T showing when the light hits just right....orange numbers:post-4-1090547912:

I'm all for tradition but I do believe that the vol's uniforms have been long due for a makeover. It doesn't have to be anything extreme but for example, why couldn't they simply do an orange jersey with white numbers that are trimmed in black in the same way their away jerseys are done? Also, I think the white helmets with orange stripe and T would look good if they were outlined in black as well. I say keep the white pants but have a wide orange stripe with black trim on the sides and wear black shoes. It's nothing too radical but it would make the uniforms stand out more. And since technically black is not a color, it's not like we'd be changing the color scheme at all. It would just be providing some definition to what's already there. Plus black is already being widely used in a lot of the Vols merchandising so, why not?

BTW, an all black jersey would be hideous.

Hell, why not change our helmets to Jack-O-Lanterns with triangular eye holes and noses, a scary smirk of a mouth, and a stem that rises out of the top? We could have a witch on a broom logo at midfield.

I love our uni's as well but also agree that some minor tweaking wouldn't hurt. Something as simple as a white stripe that comes up the front and goes down around the back similar to the likes of a Miami jersey would be interesting. I think if done right a black jersey might not look bad for a game.

Perhaps they go with the orange shoulders wiht black trim or something...but not all black...ackkkkk
