'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

Nah bro he declared early for the draft

Orlando Sentinel

This quote from the article is golden:

“He got his weight down to 326 and if he’s a pound over that any one day he is back on the show field,” UCF coach George O’Leary said after the game. “As I said earlier, every pizza joint within three miles calls him by his first name. He has to just watch his weight, it’s self-discipline more than anything else. You don’t like to send that message but sometimes you got to do what you think is right for him and the football team.”

So did they call him by his first name or last name? :)

Tennessee offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian was on the West Coast most of this week but started off in New Mexico where he checked in on Zach Gentry.

Last week Gentry visited both Texas and Alabama and both seemed to be good visits for the big signal caller, but some close to his recruitment believe the Vols continue to be near the top of the list for Gentry.

He plans to make a decision in June and Tennessee has positioned itself nicely to this point, but expect
Oklahoma State, Texas and Alabama to make a push before the decision date.

huge news. Thats as close to the volquest guys calling a player a lock as you can get.

Who are we more likely to get Gentry or Gibson? I saw another name Brady White I think but I don't know much about him.
I think it's just a matter of which one decides to commit first. On that score, Gentry has already given a rough time table (by the end of May or something along those lines).

With that being the case, Gibson sounds like he wants to drag things out longer. So, my guess would be Gentry, at this point.

I don't think Gibson is coming. Never have. Take gentry and be done. Everybody's drooling over Gibson but he will end up doing us like Adoree.

Gentry.

I think he is the #1 QB on the board and we lead with no more visits planned prior to his announcement.

I don't think Gibson is the #2 QB prospect on the board.

Does this kid have any family connections with East Tennessee? I know that there are a lot of Gentry's in the Knoxville area. Just hoping that we had an in like we do with McKenzie.

"As of right now I think Tennessee is the team to beat, but I do think it's not over yet."

for those of you who don't speak fortenberry, this roughly translates to...

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!! add him to the commit list

This is kid has the look, measurables, and intangibles of what could potentially be our best QB in years.

I get downright giddy when I think about Gentry, Preston Williams, Helm, and then you stop to look at the DT's we're in on...

*it's happening gif*
