After watching his tape, I have to say I'm not as critical of his throwing as most on here seem to be. I'll be the first to say I'm no QB guru but I think what a lot of you are seeing has to do with him being a lefty. His motion is going to look different to most, naturally, but when he sets his feet and throws it's not the worst I've ever seen. Second, he has quite the arm. The physical tools are certainly there. No problem at all throwing the long ball with a decent degree of accuracy...but all he has is the long ball and the short screens and slants right now. He's also making very simple reads or just seeing an open guy and dumping it off. I definitely feel like if he got a dedicated QB coach and worked on his motion + plus the mental aspect of playing QB that he could eventually play in the SEC. It would take a lot of work, and I do mean a lot. He is very raw, really just getting by on his off-the-charts athleticism right now. But the tools are there for the right coach to work with.

Fwiw, I've been hearing the same stuff Matt is saying, but its kind of someone I just met. Also, have the ones worried about his passing abilities paid attention to the recent teams playing or in contention for the NC?

It sucks, because through interviews, his actions, and from people close to the program, Gibson is very interested in us. But if he doesn't pick us, its always the same thing when we lose a big fish. "He never was coming here!!! He was messin with our fanbase!!!! Twitter Followers!!! hgdfskjlghkltrhg!!!!!".
