Was looking at what possible 2014 offers could be out there. T. J. Lang was released by VT. What's up with Jake Allsmiller? He hasn't signed anywhere.

There are 4 uncommitted players in the Rivals 150, not counting Larry Austin...

#6 Myles Turner
#80 Josh Cunningham
#119 Andre Adams
#127 Idrissa Diallo

None of those seem likely. Unless he pulls a rabbit out of his hat, it looks like Tyndall has no choice but to scavenger hunt 2014 and concentrate on 2015.

Typically this late guys are available because 1. They're not very good 2. They've got discipline issues 3. They've got grade issues

Maybe he takes his shot with guys that are risks and it works out for him, Pearl did this and was successful, but we did have out black eyes. Octavio's Ellis has discipline issues, but if he can get into school no doubting the talent. Devonta Pollard got kicked out of Bama (hard to do), but maybe he's learned his lesson? Obie Oleka is a very talented forward, but Texas released him because of issues he had.

He's got 2-3 guys at SMU that if they get a release I could see as contributors here. Jaysean Paige would be a great addition, Suarez and Carmichael as well.

I'm not sure what he's got planned, should be interesting.

He could send an assistant coach to Eastern Europe and tell him not to come back without a 45% three point shooter.

FYP. :hi:
SMU is the school in Dallas that received the "death penalty" in the 1980s for football. A lot of people seem to either be in a hurry or not realizing that So. Miss. is actually USM.

Tennessee is supposedly looking at 8-12 players. And going to start bringing some in on visits over the next couple of weeks.

Ok I'm a little lost here. Did the recruits request out of their LOI's on their own or were they told they need to look around? If so, is there any proof or just hearsay?

A recruit HAS to ask out the LOI. Once signed, it is a binding document for both player and school for one academic year.

A coach can suggest that a player consider other options because it would be in their best interest if they don't believe a player will fit into their plans, and most kids who don't feel wanted will move on.

In this case, the kids have asked out of their LOI because it has to be done that way. The question remains whether they are leaving on their own terms, or if they were encouraged by Tyndall to seek out other options.

Coach Tyndall answered that question on the Erik Ainge show this morning. He said he did everything he could to keep Austin and Cornish. Also said still trying to sell Cofer and Turman on staying put.

Hope to hell they do and then add some JUCO's to round this class out. Then get rolling on 2015 & 2016.

Have a feeling you're going to see at least 3 USM players on the Tennessee roster. The issue there is we won't know much until they hire a new coach and can get their release.

I'm not sure what you expected him to say, that he didn't try and could care less where those guys go?

It's coach speak, the same things as saying he wouldn't recruit thugs or renegades, but watch the names getting ready to pop up on the radar.

Or the same way that he insinuated he wouldn't take any players from USM and would encourage all to stay committed.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, sometimes to win and win quickly you have to do some things you aren't proud of, but point is I wouldn't trust every word coming out of his mouth ATM.
