2014 Illinois PG Larry Austin (Tennessee Commit 8/1)

Maybe the guys don't care for CDT or his system. It appears that we are only hearing one side of the story from some posters who are connected with the players. There are two sides to every story and the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

I agree. He actually reminded me of Jordan Adams on film. I mentioned that months and months ago. Kind of coincidental now.

What sucks is, this weekend he texted me and said JC was sticking, he just liked UT itself so much. Then last night I asked if he had talked to CDT and if so what he thought of him and he hits me with "unfortunately he's filing his release papers in the morning." Im beginning to wonder what went down for these guys to bail instantly after talking to CDT.

Will end up being a lot like Martin leaving probably. Best for both sides but VolNation tries to make one or the other the bad guy.

Exactly what I've been saying, read between the lines. If Cofer leaves, which seem likely, he's a vol legacy that bleeds orange..that should tell you something.

Losing recruits sucks, but DT said he was brutally honest with players. Maybe they didn't like his honest evaluation of how they fit his style of play? Who knows. What I do know is we're stuck with DT til at least the buyout drops in 3 years so everybody better get ready for a bumpy ride. Next year was gonna be tough no matter what. All any Vol fan can do is hope for the best. Whining isn't going to accomplish anything.

I wouldn't expect that logic to be applied with our fan base.

There are a thousand reasons why a player would want to decommit/leave after a coaching change. 3 in 1 day is certainly an eyesore and a little confusing, but yeah, patience is the only anodyne for this gut punch. Let it play out

Some players just don't like scoring. I hope their release has stipulations not to go to Cal or SEC!

That starting 5 with the recruits he had coming in would've been fine. Without his recruits, not so much.

Your shtick is tired. Go hate on the Cal boards.

Perhaps DT will be bringing in recruits that fit his system and would allow for a better chance to win. I know...not the VN way to give the new coach the benefit of the doubt and think that he may actually have a plan.

Will West: Good on Donnie Tyndall releasing Austin from his LOI. Scum bags don't release kids who want out when taking a job. Decent human beings do

Don't expect him to get props for this Grand Poobah....

HE SUPPOSE TO!!!!

Haha. That is false. The incoming freshman were going to do VERY LITTLE to have any impact on the the team this year. Austin might have made an impact this season. Others would not. And as far as Austin's impact, I can only assume that he has a specific PG in mind to bring in that in Tyndall's mind will have as much/more of an impact than Austin.
