I laughed and snorted at the same time when I read this.

That you, Steve Urkel?

You people are fools if you don't think this is a problem. He did this at Morehead St., but, if he does this at UT, it's on Sportscenter and we have big time problems. Read the following link and tell me this wouldn't be a major story at Tennessee.

NCAA.org

So who would you have hired? Let's hear it..

I'm sure this will end well. I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong.

Sorry I forgot the best way to support the men's basketball program is to call for the coach's head before he has even been on the job a day.

You can't forget things you know nothing about. If you want to blindly follow mediocre hires and incompetent leadership simply because someone at UT decided to give them a paycheck, then you can run off the cliff with them. Not me. I pissed people off from the beginning with Dooley and Martin and neither of those two proved to be of the standard we should accept at UT. Hiring a known cheater isn't going to endear me to this one, either.

I understand Howland, Marshall and Cronin...but acting as if White is somehow a sure thing over White is sour grapes

Sour grapes? What the hell are you talking about? The sure thing is that White hasn't been busted by the NCAA for something that would have us peeing our pants were an agent to arrive in Knoxville to check out. I'm also fully confident that White will be more successful than Tyndall.

Haha what in the world would ever entice Cronin or Marshall to UT? Serious question. Like I said, delusional Vol fan

$$$ and an AD with balls and intelligence to make it happen. Cronin was waiting for a call. Again, you haven't the faintest idea as to what you are talking about.

He should have been a no brainer for Marquette, UT, and Missouri, yet no one will give him the time of day. There are obviously some issues there.

Yeah, the SI story and his banker hours at UCLA, plus the lack of cojones at those schools, all of whom are a disaster in the AD currently, to make the bold call to hire a proven winner. Dude has three final fours and was begging to come to Knoxville. I think a grateful, proven winner of a coach would have been a wise option to take.

What money are you talking about? Do you guys just think there's a printer in the back that just shoots out money when Hart walks back there? It's not that we're cheap, we're just too busy paying the buyouts from the Hamilton regime. Yes yes Cronin is just waiting for the call from Hart so he could leave his alma mater to take our job, heck I think he was on the same plane as Lovie!

We have had 5 losing seasons in the last 6 in football, our basketball coach took a talented team and barely made one tournament in three years then left for a damn middling PAC 12 team, then we got rejected by the coach from LA Tech and had to settle on our 6th choice coach with an NCAA rap sheet. I'll be positive when given a reason.

You can't complain about Tyndall's past and at the same time say you would hire Howland.

This is my point...if we obviously weren't afraid to get our hands dirty, why NOT hire Howland? Bigger resume than anyone we could have hired. 3 straight final 4, took 3 different teams to the dance, INSTANT winner.

Bigger reward than that Auburn coach if he was hired.
