We can't even decide on the 4 QB's that we've got. Why would he come here only to join the circus?

Manziel and Tebow were not great passers either in the college game. Neither is Vick in the pros. But they are all tremendous athletes and thats what we need. His passing will only get better.

The VN elite have been acting quite salty as of late.

Everything is being taken out of context in order to best relate to one's own agenda.

It is best just to come to terms with this now.

Vince Young, Cam Newton, and Colin Kaepernick aren't the most prolific or mechanically sound QBs either, but all three players were extremely successful during their college football careers.

The college football game is not NFL.

Braxton Miller, Nick Marshall, Jordan Lynch, Denard Robinson, Pat White, Brad Smith and many other dual-threat QBs have dominated the college football landscape over the last decade or so. Most every one of the aforementioned QBs were not extremely skilled passers & were "run first" dual-threat QBs. Research their individual career accomplishments & awards as well as their respective teams' overall records.

Talent is talent & winners are winners. If a college program can employ a successful coaching staff with a solid offensive scheme and manageable athletes, then a talented QB with a winning attitude and mindset can be successful and win games. It doesn't matter if the QB is a pure pocket-passer or is a pure athlete.

In today's college football landscape, it really isn't the type of skillset a QB has that is most important. Surround the QB with manageable support players and a sound offensive scheme that best fits his abilities and talents, and watch what happens. Winners are going to find ways to win, more times than not.

Our #5 recruiting class last year should tell you that we're still a big wig.

For those that watch his tape could clearly see he has the ability to be a good passer. Honestly improving your passing is really a matter of improving your footwork.

What people fail to realize is that in this day in age D-linemen are a lot more athletic so you need a QB who can extend plays and make plays outside of the pocket. The days of having a QB who throws from one spot in the pocket is nearing over.

Considering we've had what 4 losing seasons in a row? I think its a pretty awesome feat that im proud of. If the previous guy in charge had anything resembling a clue when it comes to recruiting we may be discussing double digit wins this year. Vonn Bell recruitment should sum up all of his straight up incompetence of that phase of the job. Among his other major deficiencies of the job. BTW Bell's story is just ONE example of this coach getting it and this other coach isn't. I know which one id hire.

It was just sarcasm. Clearly he's not an elite passer yet. But he is an elite athlete and he's a winner. I'd be glad to accept his commitment as well. Doubt he ends up a Vol though so it doesn't really matter.

If we land him I say we do like flor duh did a few years ago when tebow was a freshman use Gibson a lot for your running plays and ferg or dobbs who ever you prefer for your passing stuff.
