Any Airplane sightings or any other sightings?

During the other coaching searches we were always updated about where Hart and others were flying to. Have they not even physically been to visit any candidates? Are they actually looking for a replacement yet?

Pilot to Hart, "Do you think we lost them"?

I can see Hart and Cheek in the UT war room now.

Hart: A lot of good candidates. Do we spend some serious money on a top guy or do we try and find another up and comer like Butch Jones but for Basketball?

Cheek: I need a Kleenex.

Hart: Seriously, we need to figure this thing out.

Cheek: Well, looking at VolNation it appears a large part of the folks on there would be pleased with the hiring of Michael White over at LaTech.

Hart: He makes like 500 grand a year and I bet we could get him for a million a year.

Cheek: Gas up the damn plane, It's money in the bank!

Announcement coming....

That money in the bank may have to pay the bills if fans do not fill TBA.

As with most any reasonable fans, I will 100% support ANY new hire until he proves he can't get the job done. I see nothing gained from crying and whining about a coach who has not even had a chance yet. You seem so sure that any coach who does not set UT back 3 million a year is a sure failure. My guess, you would complain no matter who were hired. It's cool, you don't have to attend games. Someone will take the seats.

There is almost no gamble in hiring a well known coach who has done it numerous times. Whereas, the cheep blue light special may flop and the program is set back further than it has been since Wade Houston was here.

If Smart, Marshall, or another coach who is winning at a smaller school steps up to the SEC, it is absolutely a gamble if they continue to win at the same rate. Marshall could be hired tomorrow at 3.75 mil a year and never win more than 26 games at UT. There are very few sure things when it comes to college sports and coaching. A few, but very few.

I just want to tell Hart "Good luck. We're all counting on you"

by all the lunatics coming out of the woodworks for the coaching search and Peyton visiting Saban for a few hours, looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue...
