BUT he was the one coach that I knew of that got under Bruce Pearl's skin when he was at USI. PLUS, if UT hired Ray it would piss off Pearl. 😁

Hart should be SACKED if he doesn't make a serious run at Smart and Marshall. He may get turned down but GOOD offers must be made. I think the Smarts do like it in Richmond; otherwise, he would have bolted by now. I think he'll bolt at some point, but don't know when. I'm guessing, but I doubt Ktown would be appealing to Smart's wife--although they did live in Gainesville, which is about the same. We HAVE to go after these guys. I noticed that Smart/VCU signed 3 top 100 players this recruiting class.

His team finished 12th in the country this past season avg 81 pts a game while giving up 66.5 pts a game....

This first paragraph in is bio says this......
"Michael White's pressuring man-to-man defense and fast-paced, dribble drive offense has certainly paid huge dividends for the Louisiana Tech men's basketball team as he enters his third season as head coach after coming off one of the most historic seasons in the program's 84-year history"

Best value hire I see as possible. Would love to see Hart shock everyone and pay to bring in Smart or Marshall. With that likely not in play, I'm all for White being the guy. How often can you bring in a coach winning at a 71% clip, has SEC experience, and would allow you to put a million+ in the bank?

IMO do it.

Jesus, you guys are complete morons. Sorry if you are so deep in the Tea Party fever swamps that you can't separate your sports from your politics, but the most important characteristic for our next coach is someone who will win, not the guy that has the biggest gun collection or tells the funniest jokes about Obama.

If you turn down a coach as good as Smart because of his politics, you don't deserve to be a sports fan anymore.
