Summary of Update on VQ...

Ben Howland and Tubby Smith both reached out and let Tennessee know they are very interested in the job. Smith likely doesn't get the attention of Hart, but Howland might. One positive that sticks out besides his obvious success, is his ability to recruit the atlanta area late in his career. With that said, he's not likely to be at the top of Hart's list as there's risk involved and issues with his last job.

Tennessee has reached out to Tyndall and White to gauge their interest through a 3rd party, and more detailed talks could occur depending on what their response was.

Tennessee isn't going to pay north of $2m it appears so you can likely cross off Boyle and Marshall. On that topic, it appeared as Tennessee hasn't and won't reach out to Marshall.

Chris Mack hasn't been reached out to yet, but sources indicate he is very interested in the Tennessee job.

Tubby Smith would be interesting. Age concerns me, but he's definitely got some skins on the wall.

Interesting. I really like Howland...but I am scared of that hire. Right or wrong....I just don't know. Surprised if we don't try Marshall. Thanks for the updates.

Howland is so desperate to get back into the game I would have to know what's the price tag? If he will come for $1.5m and $500k for assistants, I would hire him tonight. That's a low risk with a great chance of him winning a lot of games here.
