Kingsley Okoroh

Yup, Zo's such a dick for doing what's best for his family in his mind.

There's nothing wrong with doing what's best for your career and family. But, taking a committed recruit with you is a Kiffin or Franklin move. I thought Martin was better than that, I guess I was misinformed.

Best of luck to Martin and his family, I hope this deal works out well for Martin and UT.

The kid commits to a coach and the university. He built the relationship with Cuonzo, if Cuonzo isn't there then what's there?

Correct. Okoroh even said in his stories on his commitment how much the staff played a role.

HE NEVER EVEN VISITED CAMPUS, WHAT DO YOU THINK HE WAS COMMITTING TO?

And what will be your stance when our new hire brings one of his current commits to fill a much needed hole on our roster?

I just hope its not, "I bet you didn't think you would be playing in the SEC when you committed to an American East school" :)

This guy was a commit for one day. He committed to the coach not the school. No big deal. Move on. Glad CCM is gone. If they make a good hire (who knows if that is even possible), it will be better for everyone in the long run including CCM. With Stokes going pro and the buyout being lowered, and a bad year on the horizon, he was going to be gone next year regardless.

Now, we can have our bad year and CCM gets money for a longer amount of time than if he would stay and get fired and we can hope to hire a good coach that can build a real program. Will only happen if AD and UT admin or committed to do so.

No one's mad at the kid. People are mad at the way Zo handled his recruitment. It was a low rent move by Zo and that isn't really debatable.

What parts low rent? Allowing him to commit? Should he have quit recruiting?

He shouldn't have allowed him to commit to TENNESSEE. I don't buy for a second that the whole Cal thing developed in a matter of 24 hours. Knowing he was negotiating with them, he should have never allowed KO to commit to TN. I realize he committed to Martin, but it's not like he was up against some wall to go public immediately. Zo should have held him off.

Why did Cuonzo let him commit, when he was basically signing a contract at another school?

to give a 1 finger salute to the 30,000 petition signers...........im sorry guys that petition is a lot bigger deal than a lot on here want to admit........it dont get any lower than this.....a large portion of this fan base wanted the return of a proven liar and cheater.

From the way it's sounding this all went down in less than the last 24 hours, but I could be wrong.

So his idea of giving us the finger is dangling a 2* recruit in front of our faces lol

There had to have been talks about the possibility of cuonzo leaving during recruitment. I have no idea if Cal had any offers to give. It was a very quick turnaround on KO's part.

So Cuonzo's going to do battle against UCLA, USC, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Washington State, Arizona State....they'll be thrilled to make the NIT at Cal. I venture to say he'll be an NBA assistant in 3 years.

Now you know how Cuonzo feels about his treatment this year...kinda butt hurt!

Actually I don't, cause idgaf he's gone. He deserved the criticism he received when he was underachieving, if he's that mentally weak that a petition hurt his feelings he needs to toughen up. Tougher breed remember?
