Don't sleep on Scott getting some carries this year either. Lane is a physical runner and is usually dinged up for a few games a season. If either Lane or Hurd get dinged up, I'd imagine Scott fills that void in some capacity.
I'm not. I'm expecting him to get around 50 carries this year. Lane will get around 200. Hurd/Scott/Pickett will split around 150 other carries. It'll be kinda close to that.
It would be borderline idiotic to take 5 backs in two years.
Same here. Most people dont expect Hill, Summerhill or Pickett to produce. So after Lane leaves all we really have is the 3 that we just took.
Now Bama taking 5 back in 1 year was stupid.
We have way more important needs like the trenches. I also think Pickett is going to contribute. Those are the only reasons why I think that.
It makes me feel a lot better, comforts me, and eases my mind when I see 5 stars next to a guy. When I pull up the rivals link and I see 5.7 ***, why heart sinks a little and I wonder why. Just why? I immediately go into a semi panic mode and start thinking there is a possibility he might get a bump, but what if he doesn't . I hold out hope but it seems like we are in the running for a lot of big time backs.
Not trolling. I have high expectations for UT and I want the best players possible. Hopefully this kid proves the sites wrong.

The sites if I am not mistaken are notorious for rubber stamping players they have not evaluated in person. Trust the coaching staff on this one.
Btw how is Basalt these days? I lived their for a year and a half when I was a kid.
So if you were a UT coach you wouldn't have recruited Tre Mason, Kadeem Carey or Bishop Sankey? I mean they were only 4*. I think Mason was even a 3* on 247. I guess it eased your mind when we got that "stud 5*" Bryce Brown huh. How did that work out?
Why doesn't Rivals, Scout, ESPN, or 247 think that this kid is the stud he's made out to be in this thread?
Measurables and level of competition most likely. IMO We don't need to be wasting our time recruiting running backs that run a 4.7 forty unless we plan on converting him to full back or linebacker.
