It's actually a valid point. Should have held off on taking this commitment. To get back to championship form we need backs with 5 stars not 3. You don't dominate and win with 3 star backs. You don't see bama, Uga, USC signing 3 star backs.

star gazing at its finest. ratings will change over the next 10 months. kid could end up a 4*. this kid is a good pickup. took his team to the state championship and rushed for about 3500 yards last season. ratings dont matter anyways. Cam Sutton was a low 3* and was an All SEC frehsman last year.

It makes me feel a lot better, comforts me, and eases my mind when I see 5 stars next to a guy. When I pull up the rivals link and I see 5.7 ***, why heart sinks a little and I wonder why. Just why? I immediately go into a semi panic mode and start thinking there is a possibility he might get a bump, but what if he doesn't . I hold out hope but it seems like we are in the running for a lot of big time backs.

You never know how this kid will end up ranked, he might get bumped to a 4 star or maybe a 5 star if he has a monster senior year and gets many more offers. Not saying it will happen but just going off stars in April isn't smart.

Todd Gurley was a 3 star RB from NC in April of his junior season as well, he ended up a top 50 player nationally.

FSU, Auburn and UGA all signed 3* backs

247 already says he is a likely candidate for the 4 star bump by NSD.

Considering they signed within the last 2 years, they probably havent even played yet. FSU and Auburn signed 3*s in 2013 and UGA signed 1 in 2012. Hurd and Scott arent really power backs. They are 3 down type backs. And a little fun fact. The state championship was Reid vs Scott. Just wait it out, he still has a season to play and will get a bump in rankings.

After his junior year of high school, Mark Ingram was a 3-star on rivals and scout. He actually stayed a 3-star on scout. But yea, Alabama never signs 3-star RBs

One of those guys could be the OTHER RB that we take. Probably not Swinney though. Hes probably headed elsewhere
