Wow if true, no way anyone can make an argument Marquette didn't offer him if he gets a freaking $1m raise.
People would be living in a fantasy world if they think that Marquette did not offer CCM. I do think that he will get the 2.3 that was mentioned to me and also the 3 year extension puts him back to 5 yrs. It will also put him within in the top half of the league as far as salary goes.
yeah, that seems high. We'll see. Maybe Hart wanted to put him in line with / ahead of Pearl's number.

As long as that fantasy world is called Reality because he didn't get offered by Marquette. 2.3 million is too high, if true. We could've got a better, more established coach for that money. Hopefully, the buyout will not to be too substantial if we find the need to exercise it.
Yet we have another person who actually named names for donors. I take that over anonymous D3 coach any day.
May very well be, because I find that hard to believe.
Reason being...the story when Martin was hired at UT was that he came to interview, absolutely blew it out of the water, and Hamilton went and stopped him at the airport before he could fly back to Missouri to seal the deal. Said he didn't want to let him out of Knoxville without taking the job.
That could also be UTs spin on it, but seems like 2 complete opposites there.
Katz > Anonymous D III coach. I'll take Katz's opinion over his every time.
Because people can't stand to lose an argument on the mighty internet. Even when they're wrong.
