Ok, I'm sick of getting shafted for getting a next-gen system

You do realize you are claiming you are getting shafted in your OP, because what you are getting free is not as good as what someone else got for free? The entitlement you feel is not caused by Sony, but by your uninformed expections. A year ago anyone could of told you this just based on the fact the PS4 didn't use the Cell processor.

Also I give Sony tons of credit for offering any free games at all on the PS4. The PS3 is giving you old games, while so far Sony is giving you games that haven't been released for PS4. They could of easily said we have to buildup a library before offering free games.

The only complaint you could really make is Driveclub. The limited game was suppose to be free on launch, and many preorderd with this in mind.

Again, as I have stated already, it's not the "free" thing that bothers me. It's the lack of quality options I am getting to download vs. the multitude of options that PS3 is still getting every month. Regardless of the fact that my system is supposed to be the better, upgraded system, apparently it's too much to ask that they give me something better for download than a 2-D Indy side-scroller.

I don't mind paying for it. I mind not having options. Especially when the older, lesser system is still getting very good options every month for download.

The "options" that are made available for the ps3 that you keep talking about are all old games. You're acting as though they are producing all these new titles for the ps3 without providing them for the 4.

There's nothing to "get". The PS4 is getting crappy games to download every month, while the PS3 is still getting good games to download every month. I do get it. I just don't like it. Hence i made a thread on a message board about gaming saying i don't like it. I don't understand what you are trying to convince me of.

I feel there is no good reason to not allow PS4 users to download the same games that PS3 users get every month. It's a better system with better capabilities.

He said "new" titles. I'm not asking for new titles. I even said I would enjoy classic titles. Good try though.

And I'm not putting my emphases on the "free". I don't care to pay for it. I just want to have good games to pay for. I don't know why that's so hard for everyone to grasp.

Is your family tree so narrow that you can't comprehend that its not an option to port older titles to the PS4 due to hardware differences, and this was made clear when they revealed the system?

Going after my family tree now, huh? Nice.

I understand they can't play old discs, again, I have a hard time believing this system isn't capable of downloading a 16-bit PS1 game. I'm pretty sure smartphones can do that.

The only argument any of you can make that would be a sound, valid opposition to me considering a set of games to be low quality, is to explain why they are not low-quality games.

Also, you could try conveying the point that the monthly games that PS3 users are getting are in fact low quality games, and therefore I shouldn't feel angry that I am not getting games that are any worse quality then what previous-gen users are getting.

Constantly misquoting/misinterpreting the fact that I want "only new games" or "I want better free games then they are getting" is not the proper way to debate.

The PS4 is getting lower quality games for download every month than the PS3 is. I'm not happy about it. There is no way to dispute someone's feelings on something, that is a personal judgement call. So you can only dispute my "quality of games" argument. So please..... proceed to do so. I'm all ears.

There's simply no way to have a discussion with you in the subject because A) you lack any subject knowledge about what you are complaining about, B)continue to act like a petulant child not getting their way, and C)can't really make up their mind about what they are complaining about. Considering all of that, continuing a discussion with you on this subject is both a waste of everyone's time, you are going to feel ripped off regardless of what anyone tells you, which is perfectly fine........you are in the GREAT minority.

Just for my own understanding, because I have no idea which downloadable games Sony is releasing for each console, in the past couple months, what has PS4 gotten versus PS3?

Why aren't old games available? Because it would cost Sony money to pull it off and its not going to sell more consoles. Thats probably the long of it.

Nah. I would rather just make threads on VN and watch everyone's jimmies get rustled because of my lack of satisfaction with the online content.

After beating the garbage that was Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition I almost completely lost hope in gaming altogether, but Assassins Creed: Black Flag redeemed my hope. I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy 15, The Order, and the new AC game coming out at the end of the year.

To be honest you are just not meant to be an early adopter. This is not even close to the worst first year of a console. Next launch wait a year or so before jumping to the PS5 if you can't keep your PS4 at that time. Right now I have such a game backlog on the PS3 and PS4 that it will take me the rest of the year to catch up, and I still plan to get not only Watchdogs and Destiny, but Driveclub and Witcher 3 if they make it out this year.

Oh hell no! Remember the N64? At launch you had Pilot Wings 64 and Mario 64. That was IT man! Until Goldeneye finally released my N64 was a huge paperweight for quite a while. And then after Goldeneye it yet again became a huge paperweight until Zelda Ocarina of Time came out.
