TN HB-1547 on 'student religious freedom'

I already told you that argument is fallacious and gave you the resource to understand why. If you choose not to learn, you can't be helped.

Missing link fallacy is not a true logical fallacy. Epic fail on your part. Your arguments however fall under appeal to authority fallacy.

How exactly would it limit religious minorities?

Please don't stretch...

I find the Bible's stance on ethnocentrism, genocide, women, slavery, pork-eating, sexuality, etc. lewd and offensive. Yet, I doubt anyone will stop students from exercising this "valuable" free speech.

My point is: who gets to be arbiter of what is lewd, offensive, and objectionable? If me, then Biblical speech wouldn't work. But, ah, we have a problem here, right? Persecution of Christians and possibly even Jews, not that anyone sponsoring this bill gives a **** about actual Jews.

This doesn't work, plain and simple. It is disabling religious minorities.

No you told you you believed smart people and hhould ave used you logic. I am disappointed. I thought you were smarter than believing something someone says that cannot be proven is fact.

I do believe evolution does exist. I do not believe man evolved from a monkey. All that is , is a theory, no more no less and you very well know that.

Can I get a %?

I cannot provide one. Just like you cannot provide a % that does. It's an impossible question to answer because nobody knows all of the smartest people on the planet and they have not been surveyed.

Just because someone is a scientist doesn't mean they are classified as one of the smartest people on the planet.

Yeah, you are stretching...

I think you know darn well what the meaning of lewd and offensive is. And it isn't your anti-religion rhetoric.

Sounds to me like your step-dad is contributing to the hand out mentality that your ilk despises.

It's cute that you try so hard to be important.

Hmmm I really don't understand what you mean by my stepdad. I said there is a church close to his work. He doesn't attend that church. Nor does he accept food from them.

I see your pathetic retort. I am not trying to be important. I just provided proof of how stupid your statement about religion actually was. Since you provided zero evidence to refute anything I said it further proves my point.

I have a hypothetical question for you. If something were to happen where you live, like a natural disaster, and a church offered to give you and your family food, shelter etc. Would you accept it?

I can give you a % of polled scientists if you'd like.

Not at all. Honestly, what is lewd, offensive, or objectionable material? The Bible tells us that neither slavery nor genocide is necessarily bad. Yet, I'm sure some students will seek recourse in the Old Testament. Why isn't this objectionable? I find this much more objectionable, quite frankly, than a student whose religion promotes drug use. But I guess Rastafaris and certain Native American peyote religions don't count under this law. Meanwhile, those who persecute against people who eat pork get to run amok.

I don't see how you think I'm stretching. This is just common sense. Who gets to decide what religious perspective is lewd, offensive, or objectionable? This is a legal nightmare, and it won't hold up in courts, no matter how much you think I hate Christians. And by the way, I don't hate Christians. I do, however, despise the Old Testament and Paul. I don't think Christians have ever fully known what to do with either one of them.

You keep using that word without understanding it's scientific meaning.

Give up man. You've been exposed. You're about as close to a real scientist as volmav. Bahaha.

By whom? You and Septic? Please. Both you and him have proven how much of a joke you all are. I mean you actually believe there are absolute truths in science. Hopefully when you get out of your twenties you will learn some real knowledge.

I would not shock me to learn you get most of your information from this message board. Oh and BTW please learn the definitions of logical fallacies if you plan to use them. That will help you out in the future.

I can give you a % of polled scientists if you'd like.

I am sure it would be high but that's irrelevant. All scientists were not polled so any number would just represent what those specific scientists believed. Also like I said, all of the smartest people on the planet were not polled either. Give it up.

Brb, running off a plane like a coward 'cause I saw some dark skinned dudes.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to see the figures if I were in your shoes too.

You can say the same thing over and over that does not make it fact. I cannot prove creation nor can you prove man evolved from a monkey. Now that is fact.

He won't admit it, that's the problem. I feel the same way you do Gramps. I cannot prove God created everything and I admit that. I believe he did but I have no proof. Yet he will not even admit that there is a possibility that science and himself may be wrong.

A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the*method, and repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation.

Now where has it been repeatedly confirmed through observations and experimentation that man came from a monkey?

Answer it has not.

Whatever hoss. I didn't say they do no good, I offered the the millions killed due to religion does not outweigh the "tremendous" amount of good.

Of course I'd accept help from a church if I had no other alternative, I'm anti religion, not anti common sense. I don't see how your question is relevant, people can tolerate amazing pain when it comes to self preservation. :)
