Ah what the heck...let me jump in....I would dare say almost everyone who incorrectly types those words in REALLY DOES know the difference...but taking the time to correct it or being so careful to make sure its correct FOR A SILLY MESSAGE BOARD???Nah, I don't think it will happen..... If you all enjoy grammar correction...then you came to the right place...but remember...school and work tomorrow so don't stay up too late....

It's better to have people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and prove them right. Applies here.

Bob Kesling is a joke..... down right terrible
I have lived in Chicago for the past 22 years and did not listen to the vol network much, grew up with John Ward, recently moved back to Hendersonville and have been listening to the VOL network only to say. Kesling is not John Ward, but he is not horrible. He seems better at basketball, maybe because there are less names, plus anyone sounds good when you are matched with Bert.....MONEY good grief

Ferrell of course.. Hung up on him and then started talking trash because the fan called and asked if he was surprised by UT's success or something.. Said he took UT on 3 bets and won them all and had jordy on his show, but wasn't gonna keep sucking up to UT or kiss their feet.. Told the caller to call his momma and tell her that Ferrell wasn't gonna put on a skirt and cheerlead for anybody..

Pretty sure he was drunk.. Per usual

Well, that sounds about on par for that show. Dude is such a dick.

He's a complete moron that makes contradictory statements. The Friday before the Denver/New England AFC title game he guaranteed New England would win, the following Monday he spent an hour bragging on his great Denver pick.

He's pretty much the worse sports guy on the radio.
I liked how he kept mentioning how close we were w/ UF "both" times we played them. He does about 30 seconds of research before he talks to a guest and then tries to sound like he's a complete expert. Don't know if he still does any hockey but he used to be very entertaining as a hockey play-by-play guy, especially during fights.

Bert really needs to drop that "money" thing.

Very annoying.

Kesling sucks. Always has and always will. Nice guy. Paints a terrible picture on the radio. Called Tiny "Anthony" in his last game. Even called the result of the coin flip the wrong way and didn't change who was kicking off until already kicked. Typical amateurish errors. Don't know that he ever did prep on names or if he went anywhere to help him get better.

Bob Kesling was a guest on a local Savannah CBS Sports affiliate. Here's the key points he made (text in quotes are his specific words as I best remember them):

- Team suddenly improved because they started playing team defense and focusing on stopping point guard penetration.

- Fan criticism of Martin was "unwarranted". He also said Martin has had "a good handle on the team all year".

- Martin tells his players to "play for yourself, play for your teammates and play for your family"

Those are the highlights. Lots of talk about how the Vols might do against Michigan, as well but nothing noteworthy.

How many times did he say, "he thinks about a three."?

I'm sorry my man I have to disagree. . He is terrible. . Have you ever listened to a football game and counted his mistakes? Seriously its his job to give the fan a play by play account of the current ball game, so someone asking him to get the down and distance correct is not asking too much. He is better at basketball yes but some of that is bc he can't get any worse.

Bob is absolutely not better at basketball! I challenge anyone who thinks so to listen to Bob while watching a game. He describes actions that are not there while ignoring ones that are. For example, anyone with the ball behind the arc, "thought about a three," when its clear from watching that Jarnell is not thinking about a three. Any player for Tennessee with the ball, "loses it but gets It back," but this still has yet to happen for an opposing player with the ball. I could go on, he's a real trainwreck.

Bob just doesn't fully understand the game well enough to call it properly.

Wrong. It took Him that long for the players to buy in. Your agenda is silly.

We were potentially one more loss from missing the tourney and possibly his job....He may want to try to get them to buy in a little earlier.

"throws it up in front" to describe any and every shot from a simple floater in the lane to a one handed-no look-falling down-while getting fouled by 2 guys circus shot. I have never heard "throws it up" anywhere else before or since.

Lol! Or, "puts the shot up, missed, tips it back up, tipped again, gets it back, loses it, tipped again, vandy gets the rebound." All to describe a routine missed shot and opponent rebound. If that were accurate, Stokes would have 45 attempts per game.

Well this didn't go where I thought it would. I figured the play for yourself/teammates/family thing would get all the attention. Kinda went everywhere bit there, with shooting the messenger (Bob) as the most popular.

"You have got to be kidding me, Bob!"

"We needed that!"

"Big time shot from Jordan!"

I love how biased he is. Doesn't even attempt to sound impartial.
Is he supposed to be impartial? He works for UT after all.
