'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

180 is a stretch IMO. This kid would need to gain 80-100 lbs to play DE

I agree it's a stretch, but 50-60 pounds would make him 6-4 230-240. That's plenty big for a rush DE with his speed and quickness. He would just need to maintain those abilities.

If he commits, by the time he's on campus Volnation will have him as a DT. I'ts the Volnation way.

It provably is a moot point because he'd likely never agree to a move to DE in the first place. He seems to want to play offense.

Maggitt was under 200 coming out. He could be a pass rush specialist.

True, but it's all about the weight that your frame will hold. JJ's frame is long and lean....narrow shoulders, etc.

If he does end up on the defensive side, he will either be a FS or Corner. Imo, if he were to play corner, the sky is the limit! The game is trending toward bigger corners to combat the taller WR's, and he would be a great one. He has tremendous hips and can cover a lot of ground very quickly.

I'm still holding out for playing QB. I think he could develop very nicely. He has a lot of Tony Robinson's game in him, just needs some accuracy refining.

This kid is crazy good with a football in his hands. No way I would beef him up and put his hand on the ground. WR sure, Safety yes, Return man YES PLEASE, DE I'll pass.

I think he is gifted enough that someone could make him a QB.

He will gain some more weight before he gets to college and when he gets into a college S&C program he should be able to add a lot of good weight without losing a step. He could easily pack on 30-40 pounds by the end of freshman year.

People that are saying this have never seen this kid in person without pads on. Curt Maggitt is listed at 244 now. There is NO way his frame can hold more than 60+ pounds. Could he thicken up 20 or so...maybe 30, sure, but not much more than that before he loses what makes him special. On his biggest day, he might be a tweener Strong Saftey/Outside backer, but I think that would be a stretch. He is a long, lean athlete that will play at around 205-210.

I agree with QB. I've been saying he's got the tools, he just needs to work out the kinks.

Exactly.

Something is weird about his delivery. He has a cannon. I've seen him in practice throw darts hitting receivers in stride 50-60 yards down field. Also have seen him throw it into the ground on 10 yard slants.

You never know where the ball is going to go.

I think someone could fix this.
