in Tennessee Vols Football

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The channel numbers in the state of Tennessee for the pay-per-view telecast of the University of Tennessee’s football game with Austin Peay on Saturday have been announced. Residents in the state of Tennessee can order the pay-per-view game on DISH Network channel 461, DIRECTV channel 785 and AT&T U-verse channel 636 respectively. Home dish customers should order the broadcast by going to the designated channel and following the ordering instructions on their TV screen using their remote prior to kick-off on Saturday.

NOTE: Participating cable systems across the state of Tennessee will also carry the telecast from the VideoSeat pay-per-view service. Fans may contact their local cable system or service provider to order the game and receive price information.

ESPN GamePlan will offer the game to fans living outside the state of Tennessee only via the ESPN GamePlan package. The game will be blacked out on ESPN GamePlan and ESPN3 in the state of Tennessee and cannot be ordered as part of any ESPN package.

The announcing team for the game telecast will be Mike Keith (play-by-play) and former Vol and NFL quarterback Pat Ryan (color analyst). Keith is the voice of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans and is entering his 15th season as the team’s Director of Broadcasting. Keith and Ryan teamed together on the radio from 1999-2004 on the Titans Network. An interesting piece of trivia is that Keith worked Tennessee’s first pay-per-view game and he will broadcast the last one. Keith served as the sideline pay-per-view reporter for Tennessee’s game at UCLA in 1989 while still a University of Tennessee student. The upcoming SEC Network will assume all previously held SEC pay-per-view football rights starting in 2014.

At halftime viewers will be treated to an interview and feature on University of Tennessee Coach Butch Jones along with previews from the new “Peyton Manning Collection” DVD release from Vol Network Home Entertainment. The DVD is available at participating Walgreens and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations, the UT Bookstore and online atvolnetwork.tv.
