WASHINGTON D.C. – Tennessee senior defensive back Marsalis Teague has committed to play in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl set to take place on Saturday, January 19 at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif.

The Paris, Tenn., native will join a talented group of draft-eligible seniors who will participate in the contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and the game will be televised live on ESPN2. ESPNU will also air live broadcasts from practices on Thursday, January 17.

In his four years at Rocky Top, Teague played in 42 games and started 24, including five at wide receiver during his freshman campaign before moving to cornerback for his final three seasons. He finished his career with 84 tackles, 10 pass breakups, one interception and a fumble recovery. He also made 13 catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns during his lone season on the offensive side of the ball.

For one week preceding the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, participants will receive an in-depth introduction to the union – the primary resource for information on the business of football and how to succeed in the NFL and in post-football careers.

Pro-football players and coaching legends will work with the game’s future stars, giving them first-hand insight on what it takes to win on and off of the field. Herm Edwards and Dick Vermeil will serve as the head coaches for the American and National Teams.

Player Ambassadors for the game include former NFL players Terrell Davis, Hank Baskett, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Lorenzo Neal and Andre Reed.
