A good night for our women's swimming team in the first night of the NCAA Championship.
Our 800 free relay team set a new school
record and placed 2nd in the event, knocking about 2.5 seconds off their performance at the SEC Championship. Great performance from
Brooklyn Douthwright, Camille Spink, Julia Mrozinski and Josephine Fuller.
In the 200 medley relay, our women finished 5th--All American status for Josephine Fuller, Mona McSharry, Sara Stotler, Amber Myers.
After Day 1, the Vols are in 3rd place in the swimming/diving Championship. Tomorrow's events won't be our strongest, but the 50 free, with Camille Spink, should be interesting.
