He called more passing plays cause he freaking had to. Tennessee was down by multiple scores and had to do something quick. They had no choice. Has nothing to do with trust. It's situational football.

What's the excuse of JG not progressing, especially mentally, in the game? What's his excuse for consistently missing wide open receivers, not feeling pressure, not making presnap reads, and taking a delay of game at the start of a new quarter? He's a 22 year old 4th year college player, so why does he have the football IQ of a high schooler?

How can you say that some QBs (JG) should be evaluated in context, but that this doesn’t apply to other QBs (BM)?

It’s a brutal position, endlessly under the microscope. Not everyone can handle the pressures of being an SEC QB, especially in the crapfest known as UT football for the last dozen+ years. Doesn’t mean that they’re weak or some other sorry-ass epithet. If this isn’t PTSD, it’s pretty damn close, and anyone who works with people with PTSD will tell you that it can hit anyone, regardless of IQ, talent, or anything else.

If you’d payed any attention to the practice threads provided on this message board you’d know Maurer hasn’t taken any snaps with the 1s. So he was essentially put in the game with no practice, in a very hostile environment, with literally 3 drives of college experience under his belt and you hoped for a better performance? He was out there running ALL on natural ability and due to that alone the word “suck” shouldn’t even be in the same sentence.

have u seen trask and dude from miss st? those qbs had no practice with 1s and won.

So let's ride the guy that couldn't find the endzone against Georgia State for 45 minutes of game time. JG hasn't done a damn thing for the team this year, and is completely clueless.
