We will try those areas. I have never been to Vandy, so I hope those areas you are talking about are half way safe to try to buy tickets. Taking my 14 yr old daughter and the last thing I want is a guy trying to sell me crack while I am trying to buy tickets.

Your more likely to be mugged inside Neyland than on West End.

IF you need a hotel for the trip consider staying in the Marriott in the North End Zone. A south facing room would have a nice view of the stadium. Just make sure to cover your peephole.

It's not really going to matter where you sit. The stadium is small enough that there really isn't a bad seat and it's gonna be full of orange.
