I was at my mother-in-law’s house, watching the game with her and my wife. I remember feeling completely dejected in the first half. I couldn’t believe what was happening when UT was down 24-7 in the 2nd quarter. Remember, UT looked really good that year up to that point and UGA looked less than mediocre.
Luckily, we got it together in the 2nd half, and we all went nuts when we blocked UGA’s punt for a TD in the 4th quarter. That play became a Sports Illustrated cover next week. Classic.
