Gets on campus what are the chances he I able to contribute right away. I don't know alot about the kid and most fans seemed to give mixed reviews on him. With all the trouble with the kicking game in the O and W game, does he have the ability to allow me not to cringe when the FG team is on the field.

If its a short fg Brodus has proved capable. Now for kickoffs I hope Bullock can bring the lead foot because neither Palardy nor Brodus can put in in the end zone with regularity.

We (me included) are quick to write off Spring games stats and spring performances overall with our skill guys.....but not with Palardy. Should we wait ti August before we throw this kid in the dumpster? Just askin

I get what you're saying, but kicking field goals is obviously a high pressure situation and it's hard to imagine he's going to get better with 3-4 times the fans in the stands, a hostile environment, and the game on the line... but here's to hoping... :ermm:

Rumor is that we have another walkon kicker coming in August named Ali Haji-Shiek Jr.

Also what ever happened to that Frat guy kicker from last year?

CDD has been bragging on Palardy all spring. Then he misses a fairly easy field goal, and I think the announcers said one of his EP's was slightly tipped. I'm just wondering even with 35,000 fans in the stands, does he get "stage fright" when performing when it counts. I hope he turns out great, but it seems his problems may be more in his head than in his leg. I hope no one throws any player under the bus after spring practice.

Bullock will probably not be any more accurate, but, from what I've seen, he should be able to send it deep into the end zone from the 35. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes over kickoff duties. I'm still holding out hope that Palardy will do an acceptable job with field goals this year, despite what happened in the spring game. All comments from practice have been positive. But I know practice and game don't always produce similar results.

Brodus played in orange and white game. People are confusing him with Bullock who hasnt got here yet.

Aslong as he doesnt have only one leg, I think he has the position. Even if he only has one leg, we may still consider him.

George is kicking the ball really well right now. He'll be on campus right at 200lbs. He's hitting the ball consistently between 70-75 yards on his kickoffs with height. 50 yard FGs are well within his range and his accuracy has improved. I expect that to improve over the summer working with a real snapper and holder. He has a great head on his shoulders with a great demeanor for a FG kicker. But we shall see. He has always been told he will compete day 1. IMO, he will be the KO specialist and develop into our regular FG kicker mid season with Palardy picking up the punting duties. But we shall see.

I can all but guarantee you Bullock will be the guy. I only watched him in one high school game but learned enough to know he puts Palardy to shame in every aspect of the job (not saying much). His kickoffs went over the fence behind the endzone every time, and he didn't miss a field goal. I know he hit one from outside 50 and another around 45. And he doesn't kick it into the o-line's rear ends, actually puts some height on his kicks. If he turns out to be a head case like our last two guys, then there's something wrong with our ST's coach.

Our ST coach just got here and wasn't here last year, so this is on Palardy. Just tell the kickers that the job is Bullock's to lose. Can Bullock punt?

Yeah, I was just saying we haven't had a kicker with a head on his shoulders since Walls. Definitely a plethora of coaches in and out since then.

He can punt, not sure that's the strength of his game. But he seems to be as good or better than Palardy and Darr. I'd personally like to see him focus on kickoffs and field goals/PAT's and let the other two figure out the punting.
