@BBallTimeMag: #Vols host #Butler Dec. 14th this year and will play at Hinkle Fieldhouse Dec. 12th, 2015.

Boom!!!

Fwiw butler is not the same without Brad Stephens, but it's a good quality opponent that will not be a bad loss and builds a tourney resume if you win.

Pastner is likely towing the company line with his public comments if he "agrees" continuing the series is in the best interest of both programs. Sure, financially speaking, for the entire Memphis AD, it makes sense because they get that football money every other year which trumps basketball money 90% of the time. However, I'd say he personally would just as soon anything "UT" stay far and fast away from Memphis.

If Pastner is fired, the next coach will feel the same way most likely, just as Cal did before him.

Correct. Pastner wants no part in playing UT. Tyndall insinuated that he and Josh are friendly because they played each other in C-USA two years ago. But I don't think that changes Pastner's thoughts.

If Tennessee basketball fans think Donnie Tyndall works fast at recruiting, they haven’t seen anything yet. If things go as planned, the Vols will announce their 2014-15 schedule sometime in the next 10 days.

Who needs to know the schedule? According to the "How many games will Donnie win" thread, we're already going to go 23-8
