Thought it was a good time to gauge the forum. If the GOP primary were held today, who would you vote for?

(I intentionally did not include the “I like pie” option because Pie always wins, even when it doesn’t.)

Feel free to post your vote and why you are leaning toward the candidate you voted for.

Vivek. He is stating unabashedly, and without being combative, his views. There is no way all he espouses will make it to reality but I like the drum he is beating.

And, I still like pie.
He’s got the right posture for sure. He’s very smart, communicates well, and he appears to have some Sac, which so many Republicans just don’t. It’s beyond frustrating. I’ll be watching him closely.

I'm looking forward to hearing him and Scott in debates. From what I've seen of Vivek so far, he knows his stuff and comes prepared.

If Vivik can even refund the alphabet agencies and implement how voting age ideas... That would be a win for everyone...

That voting age idea is DOA...even with his exceptions of military service or passing a civics test. The age restriction would make more sense until age 21 since that is the age where full rights are exercised.

It is actually one of the strikes against him for me. If that age is prohibited from voting, they should be exempt from taxes due to the government where they cannot vote.

It's like trying to choose between one of those "great" Prairie View and Columbia teams from the 80s and 90s. Haven't seen this many losers since the last ex-UT head football coach convention.

Always impressed by Trump supporters. Dignified, well-spoken, gracious in defeat. Just like they're hero.

Ramaswamy out to an early lead. Trump and Ronny D coming in after that. Super gas pumper Pence with zero votes.

Bumping this to see how/if the debate changes things. Reminder, the poll does allow you to change your vote. However, the “pie” option is still off the table. Sorry. Chris Christie ate it!

Below is where the poll was at pre-debate

If Vivek is still around on March 12, I’ll vote for him in the GA primary. If for no other reason than to be the lone vote for him in Marjorie Taylor-Greene’s district.

Speaking of pie, I do like pure rhubarb pie (without added strawberries). Even if you don’t share my enjoyment of rhubarb pie, to proclaim rhubarb pie to be “Democratic Socialist” is a mean-spirited, evil canard.

And, frankly, my enjoyment of pie that has pears mixed with apples does not and cannot deny me the right to vote in the Republican presidential primary. Advocating for such reflects poorly on you and casts a shadow on the party.

I do strongly urge everyone to read/reread Barry Goldwater’s The Conscience of a Conservative. The party has strayed these past 43 years and needs a tune up if it is to be relevant into the future.

The party faithful can get back on track if they can find a way to put Trump in the rear view mirror. He’s not a conservative and he has zero conscience.
