'18 TX S Joshua Moore (Texas transfer)

Sat out 2019 after being busted with an unregistered loaded pistol. Small and doesn’t get off the line well. Almost single-handedly lost the Baylor game (dropped easy TD, missed another reception that he batted up into the air for an interception, and then fumbled one in the red zone). Got in to a shouting match with Sark during practice last week. Not going to be a good culture guy, and play is inconsistent at best despite some talent.

that's the other side of the portal, there is a reason that some players are in it and its not all based on playing time.

He was sick as hell in 2020.. literally made ridiculous plays for Texas. I think he had like 9 or 10 tds.. he’s good. He’s 100% a take

If this is one of the players Bo Davis was referring to, I’ll pass. It’s also quite possible he’s trying to escape the toxic environment in Austin.
No culture in atx.. gonna take at least 3 years for sark to fix it… but their board is fully bought in on a championship and is about to spend whatever it takes.. sark is about to get a nasty staff.
With that if sark doesn’t improve next year he gone

So this means Pruitt and Niedermeyer are headed to Austin to beef up recruiting and player development?

Transfer Portal Notebook: Big names, bigger rumors, teams likely to go on a portal binge

  • It wouldn’t be surprising to see more Texas Longhorns in the transfer portal as Sarkisian tries to flip the roster and the culture in Austin. Joshua Moore hitting the portal despite a roster totally bereft of quality wide receivers tells you all you need to know. Moore has valuable experience, leading Texas in receptions in 2020, but as a junior has seen his production dip (24 receptions for 265 yards and three touchdowns) as true freshman sensation Xavier Worthy has emerged as the go-to guy. Moore's flashed some big-play ability in his time at Texas but reported dustup with Sarkisian might worry some coaches. We gave Moore a grade of 85 in the transfer portal rankings.
