Chattanooga, MTSU, and Marshall were three of his biggest offers. D1-AA. Webb ran the Wing-T, so he wasn't exactly throwing it everywhere in HS.

He most certainly made the most out of his opportunity!

Yep. Saw him against BGA in the playoffs and he had a really weak arm. Their offense was centered around running the ball, not Pennington. Couldn't believe he became as good as he did.

Having seen both, Kenny Minchey is better than Marcel Reed. Don't think it's particularly close.

Good call on Helton...folks forget how good he was. Had he focused only on football, he'd have been a really good college QB. Baseball stunted his football development, IMO. But he made the right choice.

George is Mike's nephew. George's Dad, Matt played WR at Western Kentucky. If George is anything like his Grandfather, son and uncle, he will be a class act and a great addition to any program.

His Granddad coached at Vandy for maybe 5 years before the grandson was born after a HC stint at UT Martin. Not that much of a legacy. Uncle Mike played at Ga Tech during that time as I recall.
