The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

That's a lot of dough

Price's 1.95 ERA at Fenway Park is his best of any ballpark he's visited at least 10 times, and the lowest among any player since he debuted in 2008.

Went to see the Sox play in Atlanta, good showing for the good guys, Price settled down and fanned everybody. Never seen a visiting team dominate the park like Sox fans did. Very strong "let's go Red sox" chant and "we want Papi".

Really wished that Ortiz would've had one AB.

Oh well, kids first game and they had a blast.

What can be done about Sandoval? That's going to go down as an all-time blunder of a free agent signing.

Hope Shaw keeps his play up, Gonna miss Papi, hope he keeps raking on the way out.

Not much you can do with that fatass, other than hope he manages to get it together next season and following. Maybe he'll make like Lackey did and somewhat clear his name on the home stretch of his contract.

Agree. I think you have to hope he ends up in shape, hits a bit, and finds some time at DH next year.

Or force some team to take him on in a package.

So how much does Ortiz weigh anyway? He's a big dude. lol.

He just jacked a three-run homer to give the Sox the lead over the Orioles. Looks like he's having a good year, though. He's slugging a league-leading .728 according the MLB At Bat, he's tied for the league lead with 48 RBIs (I'm assuming he leads after that HR), and he leads the league in OPS and doubles.
