The NCAA is desperately trying to maintain relevance. In Tennessee, we already couldn't do prop bets on college sports. They put language in the legislation to ban those when they initially opened up sports betting. I went to the 2022 LSU game and when I got down there and opened DK I was like "Oh, I didn't even realize until now that prop bet options never appeared for college games back home."

My main complaint is.
Let's say DK bans or limits you because you won too much, they then put you in a database. You open up a pointsbet account, you're account gets denied because DK put you in a database. You shouldn't be banned from somewhere you've never used before, because someone else deems you too good.

If a casino throws you out for card counting, don't they put the word out to other casinos in the area? Those guys talk and if you get banned from one or two, you end up getting banned from most of them even if you've never gambled there. Or they'll let you bet but check your action (i.e., put a max bet on you and don't let you change it hand-to-hand, which completely removes the advantage of card counting).

I'm not a fan of it obviously, but this sounds like the same thing.

I have a hot take (I guess)

I do not think you should be able to bet on individual player performance in individual games. You will never, ever be able to completely regulate this.

They aren't "getting away with" anything. Their house, their rules.

They aren't compelled to keep the game open when a player has found an edge, just like you aren't compelled to play their game when they have an edge.

I totally agree. Way too many chances to manipulate performance.
