I always look for what nobody else is looking at and that is the kicking game. JT Carver PK R-JR 2L Martin, TN, LS Bennett Brady R-SO 1L Memphis, TN Max Gilbert R-FR 1L, Josh Turbyville, P/PKR-SO Knoxville, TN, and that is it. Did any of these guys take a snap in a game last year? Is the controversial punter back? I remember Charles Campbell RS-SR that I think graduated and was a Lou Groza semi-finalist.

Just a refresher in case you didn't read the notes that I was commenting on.

1st Group: Lance Heard, Dayne Davis, Vysen Lang, Jackson Lampley, John Campbell
2nd Group: Jessee Perry, Sham Umarov, William Satterwhite, Ayden Bussell, Trevor Duncan

So 2 of 3 starters aren't currently practicing or on a pitch count. Lang and Lampley are running with the 1s and neither have played very much. Lang had issues snapping the ball. Heard played a limited amount last year at LSU and looks the part but is unproven so everyone expecting him to play like an upperclassman from the jump needs to pump the breaks. Sounds like the OL as a whole had a lot of issues today too.

That's why I called them makeshift. The group of guys that practiced today on the OL are a handful of injuries away from starting. That group of inexperienced lineman need to get a lot better in a hurry because they are going to be needed.

Turbyville was the kickoff specialist.

Jackson Ross is still on the roster

No need to worry about the offensive line, they will only be on the field for about three plays before we score.

Ross started a little slow, but ended up having a really good year. And he was just a freshman.
