Locklear 6'5 295
Richmond 6'5 309
Niehaus 6'6 285
Tatum 6'6 281
Johnson 6'6 300
Smith 6'6 320
Calbert 6'6 315
Hall 6'4 315
Brooks 6'5 282

So far I’ve put this together. If Hall comes back, then we have a good offensive line due to the other 4 recruits thus far.

You must be kidding. We will not have a good offensive line this year. We were ATROCIOUS last year. We have one absolute stud. All the others are a major issue, and incoming freshman will not solve the problem. Even assuming a HUGE improvement in coaching, we are several years away from having a good offensive line. We should be hoping for a serviceable offensive line this year. That would represent remarkable improvement.

You’re forgetting about Will Friend the offensive line coach, remember the big lines he created at Georgia in the late 80’s and early 90’s? This guy knows how to get these guys going. It won’t take no time.:hi:

Several years away from having a good offensive line? Well then you must think we are several years away from 8-9 wins because you don’t get there with bad lines in the SEC

What about this list, other than Smith, says “good”? Also, it’s been reported that Hall won’t be back, that his career is over.

I think all that needs to be said is that beside Paul Bain there is a JR...he didn't declare for the draft so he will lead us to the Natty next year!

No confidence in Friend, huh?? He’ll have them boys at a whole new level in eight months.

Haven’t heard that from Bates and TKJr has announced he’ll be back as a 5th year senior...and injuries from his recent “fall” don’t appear to be serious

We’re seriously short on talent at OL imo outside of Smith. I suspect JP and Friend will have them improved, but how much better? Ton of ground to make up and subpar players to replace. I just think it’ll be 2019, year 2 until we see the change/improvement we want/need.

Thank God Coleman Thomas is finally done. I'm sick of him getting whipped up front over and over.

Same with Brett Kendrick. Lot of fan love for very little everything else.

If I remember correctly you are correct.
He also had problems throughout the season with it. I wonder if there were communication problems with this offensive line? What was really going on? All he had to do is watch the freaking ball if he couldn’t concentrate in the huddle.:cray::crazy::no:

Most those guts were highly rated during recruiting....I want to see if coaching can make them at least adequate as a unit...

ummmmm, Will Friend was Pruitt's roommate at Bama, and was a four year starter at Guard from 93-96.

He certainly wasn't building lines in the 90's . The only lines he was building in the 80's were made out of Legos.
