Show THESE Moves To Cam Seldon

Human highlight machine.

One of the few return specialist / receiver / running back hybrids ever like him in the NFL. Never quite understood why he couldn't make it as a pure receiver.
Not sure what you mean by "couldn't make it" but CP is a 4x first team all pro, 4x pro bowler, a super bowl champion, holds multiple NFL records, and has made almost 40 million dollars. He is (still) the ultimate utility player.

If he could have only played defense that year, oh what a Merry Christmas it could have been. Ole CP was a pure offensive talent with the ball in his hands. I heard that he never attended the first class. Anyone have any proof on that rumor?

The real question is how in the heck Derek Dooley got him to play for him.
Probably grades. He was probably seen by other schools as too big a risk. I think I read somewhere that CP didn't attend a single class while he was at UT, because he knew he was going to the NFL after one season at UT. Remember Dooley damn near cost us bowl eligibility because the team's GPA was so bad.

Show this to Braylon Harmon also. I think Sampson has looked at it already.

It's crazy how many people on this site acted like he wasn't so good player for Tennessee
I remember when we played Miss State that year, and the announcers kept wanting to talk about how good JUSTIN HUNTER was.

I guess it was about halfway through the 3rd Qtr and one of the announcers kept on with his cliffs notes about the potential of Justin Hunter.
The other announcer finally said, "Yeah Hunter may be really good one day, but he isn't close to Patterson "😅.

Patterson had basically took over the game and was completely unstoppable.

The other announcer never mentioned Hunter for the rest of the telecast.

Agree. And those moves aren’t taught. You’re just born with what CP had.
Well dang. I thought I could pop over to youtube and watch some dance moves and surprise my wife on New Years Eve. So I'm not be Fred Astaire when the ball drops?

Wonder if he has a shot at the NFL HOF.

Did you intentionally skip over the pure receiver part?

That was a special talent. I'm sure Seldon will have a nice career here...or I hope he does...but I don't think that will be his game. I see him along the lines of a Hurd type of RB.
He is built more like a jay graham or even a lighter Jamal Lewis than Hurd. Hurd was a tall upright runner. I can think of many better than Hurd that he reminds me of. I think Seldon is going to break out this coming season. GBO!

I haven’t seen enough highlights of them to know one way or the other. But he is built more like CP than Hurd. I remember thinking hurd always look like a tight end. CS was a sprinting champ so we know he’s got top end speed. But I hope he has elite quickness as well. That was hurd’s weakness. He just wasn’t shifty enough to be successful consistently. Also, the offensive style Doofus Jones ran didn’t help him. We’d always do that delayed handoff where Hurd is handed the ball while he’s standing still. Just having a single step head start could’ve made a big difference for a back like him.

On nearly all these spots did anyone besides me notice the blocking support he got? Really was something to see. I just don't know if any runner on our teams of the last few years has had this luxury. I know refs and rules have caused a lot less effort for support like this but man, I miss this type of support,

He seems to be a hybrid WR/RB...hope they don't put him at TE! I'd go Debo Samuels rather than Hurd...
