Same Ole Miss, Different Day (Recruiting Dirt) [merged]

Giving immunity and going to Auburn and Mississippi State to catch someone else. Say what you will about Ole Miss, but this is the NCAA being huge hypocrites and targeting a program.

Kids must be careful here- they get immunity, but the school they are at could come under investigation.

Don't know about their current school or how that exactly works.

They better just tell the truth, if they try to over embellish just to burn Ole Miss they may lose their own immunity.

Actually almost all of our recruiting success has been because of in-state talent choosing to stick around OR legacy recruits. We've never really had the out of state 5 star choose us out of the blue like happened with Ole Miss regarding Treadwell and Tunsil.

Hurd and Malone were in-state kids. McKenzie and Warrior were legacies. Guarantano had a connection to Butch. We got Preston when he was under the radar. Etc.

Pretty much the only big-time out of state recruit we landed that had zero ties was Shy Tuttle. And that was largely due to Kahlil's peer-recruiting. Shy himself said he committed mainly because of Kahlil.

All in all, our recruiting success does not smell like Ole Miss' did in 2013. Nkemdiche made sense because of his brother. But Treadwell and Tunsil smelled big-time.

Yes, because our out of state recruiting started in 2013.

By the way, Treadwell's HS teammate and good friend was already at Ole Miss from the prior class. He had a connection as well.

Butch and his buddies never break any rules.:whistling: It's not about being dumb when people get caught, it's usually a former player who wants to "come clean" for some reason. Every big school pushes the line, but not every school leaves the line in their rear view mirror.

Yeah - like having a conversation where a player asks the Director of Football Operations directly for cash. That is SMU-esque. Most schools are smart enough to make it a little less obvious.

If anybody thinks UT is lily white in recruiting tactics, they are ignorant. All of these teams cheat. It's just to what degree and whether or not they are dumb enough to get caught.

Sure, everybody drives 60 on a 55 including Butch and Tennessee... not everybody plows through a school zone like Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss at 70 mph with a jar of crystal meth riding shotgun.

Ole Miss is in trouble and Alabama isn't. How does that make sense?

Alabama makes Ole Miss look silly when it comes to cheating.

Raise your hand if you had no clue the Black Bears were cheating. Now go sit in the corner.

Kind of like Tennessee.

Whoa now, check your history. UT has a long hx of pulling big- time talent from across the country ( this is where Philip and his coaches excelled in the 90's & early 00's).
By contrast, ole miss has not once made it to the ATL ( yet somehow became the place for 5 star athletes to land ).

This is not going to end well for the Rebs

Don't make statements here based on facts. They get in the way of a good downer.
