Probably won't get seen much with it being in this thread, but it is where it belongs. Vol fan reppin' in a great way on Hilton Head in the local paper. Note: there is a pop-up blocker from the paper if you click on the article. Despite it you can read the top couple of lines as you scroll. The video was not blocked when I tried it.

Does anybody know of any good butchers in Knoxville or the surrounding cities like Maryville and Alcoa? I just had some double hickory smoked bacon from a butcher in Michigan and it was amazing. I have been looking for one for a while, albeit not very active about it. But wanted to ask on here and see if anyone in the area knew of any good ones? I know there is one close to the Kroger on Kingston Pike, but he is extremely expensive.

Mother Earth Meats in Maryville is supposed to be good, but I don't have any personal experience there.

J and M in Oak Ridge is really good.

There's supposed to be an awesome one up toward Norris Dam, but I'll have to track down the name.

As far as the bacon thing, I would assume Benton's is the obvious answer. Have you tried that?

Didn't Mother Earths Meats go out of business? I know the one in Farragut is gone. Is J and M he actual name of the place? I have heard of Bentons. A little further out, but when I go to see my folks I could drop by there.

Their FB and website are still active so I assume the Maryville one is still going.

Yeah, J&M is correct.

I think they sell Benton's at some of the smaller grocery stores around town. Butler and Bailey, Three Rivers, and places like that.

Last time I was at Sams they had briskets.

Archers in Norris is my choice for a butcher. Haven't found better steaks anywhere. It's an old time style butcher shop. You know, the kind that stinks to high heaven.

I am working on my MBA in Personal Financial Planning. Without knowing anything else I would recommend the Roth because of the tax free growth capability. If you qualify for a Roth it is usually best to max it out each year and if you still have funds to invest you can go with a traditional IRA or other vehicle of your choosing. There is certainly more to it than that but like I said, with just the few details I would recommend the Roth.

I wanna do the same, and I would recommend that.
