-Malone, Howard, Smith worked on fielding punts with rolled up towels under each arm and tennis balls in each palm.Look for Malik Foreman, a junior from Kingsport, to be the first man up to battle for the opening nickel spot with Gaulden down. That leaves Sutton and Emmanuel Moseley at the corner spots until Justin Martin can work his way into the mix.
As we mentioned in the War Room, the Midstate quartet of Maleik Gray, Gentry Bonds, Princeton Fant and Jacob Phillips all made it on campus today for a visit.
-all three punters remain locked in battle for first team. Townsend is inconsistent.JUMPER ROUND: Unless our eyes deceived us which certainly in possible it looked like sophomore Colton Jumper worked with Tennessees first-team defense during a couple of early drills Saturday morning. Its worth mentioning that Jumper, junior Kenny Bynum and freshman Darrin Kirkland Jr. remain locked in a three-way battle for that spot, though its virtually a sure thing that at least two of them (and perhaps all three) will be in the rotation this season.
Figured Fingers would have started a thread by now.
North, Martin, Lewis should be full go Monday.
Gaulden confirmed out for the year.
Sutton will wear #7 to honor his teammate.

INTERVIEWS
JONES: Before we start, our thoughts and prayers are with Randy Moore and his family from @InsideTennessee.
JONES: Our players have handled the transition from training camp to an in-season schedule very well.
JONES: Our players have handled the transition from training camp to an in-season schedule very well.
JONES: Very unfortunate, Rashaan Gaulden fractured his foot. He will be out for the entire season.
JONES: Cam Sutton had requested to wear #7 for the season, like Jashon Robertson wearing #75 for Marcus Jackson.
JONES: Getting Justin Martin back is big to add at the overall depth at corner.
JONES: We research everything, from the turf to time of year. Our injuries are about the same this year as they have been the last 3 years.
JONES: I can't say enough about Kyler Kerbyson and his development. In a world of instant gratification, he has paid his dues.
JONES: in a world of instant gratification, Kyler has paid his dues
JONES: If players will buy in to development, usually very, very good things happen.
JONES: Kyler has mentored the younger offensive linemen. I can't say enough about him
JONES: Jauan Jennings is a young man playing with a lot of confidence. He has that look in his eye. He hasn't missed a rep.
JONES: Jennings has exceeded our expectations in his transition. He has not been affected by all the moving parts and pieces.
JONES: I really think Josh Dobbs has taken the next step in leadership. He's in command. He's been the CEO of this camp.
JONES: We have some options at nickel. Cam had played there, Malik Foreman has played there. The nickel position is as important as any.
DOBBS: Jauan Jennings is definitely hungry. He brings it every day. He's done a great job of getting better everyday.
MAGGITT: I talked to Rashaan Gaulden last night and the night before. He's accepting this as a challenge to grow as a person.
MAGGITT: We had guys on the DL and at LB that wanted to wear #7. Shows what kind of respect we have for RG.
Out for the year?? How bad was the break? Jeez...
I hate that. Gaulden was looking/sounding really good back there. Here's to him making it back next year, and starting his redshirt sophomore year with even more wisdom to back up his impressive abilities.
I think we should give Berry some reps at CB. I'm not saying switch him but in case we need him to fill in (hopefully not).
It's good to hear something about Dobbs. It's been mostly quiet about him.

Must require a pin or screws. I still have pins and screws in my leg and ankle and could not be back to play either. It is structurally strong but to run on it is extremely uncomfortable.
