Should be ready for Media Day the first week of practice. But most people won't notice the difference.

Away uniforms will be the same, though UT wanted to add a grey outline to the numbers. Probably will happen for 2019, but the retail jerseys were already in production, so the jersey designs couldn't be changed.

The grey (not black) outline is supposed to only be on the practice jerseys this year. Again, UT wanted to make the change for the game jerseys, but the retail jerseys were already in production and Nike will not have one jersey at retail and something completely different on the field.

I expect grey outlines and other small changes next year. Remember, uniforms are ordered a year out so retail replicas can be made, so the current uniforms were approved by the last staff. UT was able to change the order for the game pants to a solid stripe because those are not sold at retail. They were not able to change to a double stripe because double-stripe pants have to be specially manufactured on Nike's current template.

The number outlines are nostalgic for sure. Cool to hear they are planning to make this change on actual game jerseys next year. Do you know if this means Black letters for the player names as well?

Do you expect them to go double stripe on the pants after this season? Grey for the last names on the away unis, as well?
