Good point made here is Rose Bowl doesn’t want a Utah vs Ohio State rematch .
Orange probably doesn’t want a Clemson vs Ohio State game again . But who knows all these teams travel well. But Clemson vs UT is something new. And new sells tickets.
Cotton bowl needs to cut ties with that dang AAU crap.
Because they are missing out on a top 10 matchup. It would look like this instead.
Rose: 10-2 Washington vs 11-1 Ohio State
Orange : 10-2 Clemson vs 10-2 Tennessee
Cotton : 9-3 K-State vs 9-3 Utah
Sugar : 10-2 Alabama vs 10-2 Penn State

Unfortunately yes because of conference tie in. But definetly not needed just waters down the game. Power 5 teams really have a hard time being motivated . AAU doesn’t deserve to get cotton bowl money . They belong in like the gator bowl.

It seems to me that if USC wins the Pac-12 then Washington is in the Rose Bowl, but if Utah wins then Ohio State is in the playoffs. I think we're a lock for the Orange Bowl, unless the Sugar has an epiphany and invites us, which could happen if Alabama somehow makes the playoffs.

Clemson won t be 10-2. They'll be either 11-2 or 10-3 after they play UNC.

The G5 needs to be represented in one of these games, and no we can't count the ACC as G5
