Greatest player from the city of Las Vegas. End of discussion.

I love Kris Bryant and maybe that is true, especially if u don't consider pitchers, players. But, I do, so I am going with another former Cub, Greg Maddux. Hopefully, one day Kris Bryant will pass him up, but he's not there, yet

Do u all know the half year, he was here, Bryant led the Southern League in 10 hitting categories when he got called up after the SL all-star game. I'm sure I can look it up, but I am going to guess: HRs, 2Bs, Hits, Walks, Avg., OB%, RBIs, Slg.% for sure, maybe 3Bs, and Total Bases? Whatever they were, the most impressive half season in Smokies history. Ryne Sandberg is my all time favorite Cub but I can definetly see Bryant having a better career and passing him up in my faves. Plus, he is a good looking dude, on his way to being the face of MLB. Getting the NL MVP and 1st Cubs WS in 108 years, just adds to his 2 year legend. Oh yea, 4got about the NL RoY, the year b4. Yea, OP is right. We better appreciate him, once in a lifetime talent

Btw, if anybody cares, Shawon Dunston, Mark Grace, Andre Dawson and yes, Sammy Sosa, round out my top 6 position players, along with Ryno and KB, of course. If Baez and Schwarber continue to improve, they will be next to join my list.

Another, btw, became a Cub fan in 1984 at 13, so never saw Ernie Banks play

There's no way anyone of sound mind and judgment can say Bryant is better than Maddux. It's not even close. Bryant looks to have a great future, but he's not even better than Harper at the moment.

And the video prank is hilarious. Best part is "the sound guy" telling him to adjust hit bat to hit the ball in the center of the barrel for better sound. Or that he was so ballsy he was calling strikes when Bryant wouldn't swing once he got on the mound.

Yes sir, Maddux is the best pitcher of my lifetime, with the best resume, 320+ wins and multiple Cy Youngs. Some may argue Roger Clemens, but he juiced and there is no doubt, Maddux never did

Imagine Pedro and Mad Dog in todays game. They put up stupid numbers when guys like Brady Anderson were hitting 50 dongs.

I was replacing Johan on his list. Not sure I'm ready to make a Clayton over Pedro argument.

He is on a very nice trajectory. Needs to keep it up for a few more years. Looking at Pedro's sub 3 ERA over 18 years is baseball porn.
